Abstract Guidelines

  1. All abstracts must be submitted online by 18:00 Friday, March 04th, 2022 (KST)
  2. Notification of abstract acceptance will be done by e-mail on Monday, March 14th, 2022 (KST)
  3. Abstracts must be written in clear English and presented in English.
  4. All submitted abstract may be published on the congress website and the congress proceedings.
  5. Every author may submit many abstracts that will be the presenting author and also can participate in many abstracts as author.

Type 1. Presentation type:
  • You may choose your preferred presentation type: Oral Type or E-Poster
  • Your type will be determined by the scientific committee and will be notified to you.

2. Type of Abstract:
  • You may choose one between Original Research Article and Case(s) Report.
Topics Any abstract topic is possible as long as it is related to pediatric dentistry.
Title The abstract title should not exceed the 15 words limit.
Authors
(All type of Authors)
  • List the primary author’s full name, followed by the other authors’ full names.
  • Authors’ information requested: Last name, First name, Affiliations, City, Country, Email address. (e.g. Hong, Gildong, Department of Pediatric Dentistry, Hankook University, Seoul, Korea, hong_gildong@hankookuniversity)
Presenting Authors Please denote the presenting author with the asterisk (*).
  • The presenting author is allowed to participate in the other abstract as the co-author, but not as the primary author.
  • Presenting authors must register for the meeting through the website.
Body of Abstract
  • Please refer to the below, “Guideline for Body of Abstract”
  • The abstract text should not exceed the 300 words limit (with title, author’s names, and affiliation details excluded)
Keywords At least 3 keywords should be indicated.
References References are not obligatory; however, the word count is affected by the inclusion of references.

Guideline for Body of Abstract

Original Research Article

They should include the following sections with headings, describing the research undertaken and the revealed outcome: Objectives: Usually one short simple sentence stating the objective of doing the study. Material and Method: This section must be clearly written and in sufficient detail for the work to be repeated by other scientists. The statistical methods used should be stated. Where needed, the FDI tooth notation system must be used. Results: These should be clearly and succinctly presented and only related to the methods described. Where needed, appropriate data should be given as to the reproducibility of the findings. Statistical analysis should be also included in this section. Conclusion: This should briefly outline the most important findings.


Case(s) Report

They should include the following sections with headings, describing the case(s) and treatment provided: Introduction: In this section briefly describe the background for the case report, introducing the topic that the case/technique addresses. Explain why this case is worthy of note. Case operation procedure: This section should be the longest and most detailed part of the abstract. Relevant information should include patient(s) basic demographics, clinical findings, treatment plan and techniques used and the final outcomes. Summary: Includes the main “take-home” message from the report, indicating its significance and explaining the implications for clinical practice or future research.

Notification of Acceptance

  • All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee according to reviewing procedures.
  • Notification of acceptance will be sent by e-mail to a presenting author by Monday, March 7th, 2022 (KST)

Withdrawal of Abstracts

If you want to withdraw an abstract, please notify the secretariat(sy.park@hicomp.net) by e-mail 24:00 Friday, February 25th, 2022 (KST)
